Cadence

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 22, 2026

Cadence ("the app") is an interval timer for iOS made by Cadence ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles.

The short version

Your workouts stay on your device. We don't have accounts, we don't sell data, and we can't see your training history.

Data stored on your device only

Workouts, sessions, history, streaks, settings, and training goals are stored locally (and in your device's app-storage backup). They are never uploaded to us.

Apple Health (on your device)

If you allow it, Cadence saves each completed workout to Apple Health, and on Apple Watch it reads your heart rate and active energy during a workout to power the live session. This Health data is read and written on your device through Apple HealthKit — it is never sent to us or any third party, and we cannot see it. You can turn this off anytime in the iOS Health app or Settings.

Data collected automatically

We use two service providers (plus Apple's StoreKit for purchases). Both receive data not linked to your identity — we have no accounts, names, or emails to link it to.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, or anything you type, and we do not transmit your Health data. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and the app shows no third-party ads.

Purchases

Payments are processed entirely by Apple. We receive only an anonymous record that a purchase occurred (product identifier and price tier), which unlocks Pro features. We never see your payment details. Pro is available as a one-time Lifetime purchase or an auto-renewing Annual subscription; both are managed through your Apple Account.

Data retention & deletion

Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by our providers under their standard schedules. Because the data is not linked to your identity, we cannot look up or delete records for a specific person. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data; Health data is removed via the Apple Health app.

Children

Cadence is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
